Interview for National ME Magazine
I've just completed an interview for the ME Association which is going to appear in their January magazine. I can't believe how many people are getting in touch at the moment. Word really seems to be spreading!

All go an the media front!
Yesterday was a busy day. I finished filming for the Inside Out East show on Holidays From Home. It's going to be going out on Wednesday 14th January so make sure you keep an eye out on BBC1.
We also got a call from You & Yours the Radio 4 show who also want to do a piece! I'm really excited about the coverage as it all helps to spread the word about Holidays From Home!

I'm going to be on Radio 4!
Yesterday I went into the Radio Norfolk studio and recorded a piece for Radio 4's Travellers Tree, a travel show hosted by Katie Derham. http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/factual/travellerstree/
It was really exciting; but I was also really nervous. Although the recording wasn't live I was desperate to make sure I said all the right things and didn't have a brain fog moment and forget what I was meant to be saying.
The show is going to be on Monday 17th November 4.30 - 5.00 pm. I'm waiting with nervous anticipation to hear what it sounds like. Fingers crossed it raises awareness of what we do and allows more people to access the holidays.

New Blog!
Hi! For those of you who don't know me, my name's Claire and I run Holidays From Home a voluntary organisation who provide free virtual holidays for people who are bed or house bound or are unable to travel due to illness or disability.
I thought it was about time I set up a blog so friends and supporters can follow the progress of Holidays From Home and hear of all the latest developments which seem to be happening on a daily if not hourly basis at the moment!
What is a virtual holiday I hear you ask? Well it's a carefully described, multi sensory experience which allows you to feel as if you are on holiday in another country without you ever leaving the room! They are a lot of fun and a new area of online experiences.
We are currently running a pilot of the holidays in Norfolk and setting up to allow national access to the holidays, so watch this space for the national launch. You can check us out at
